Knight-errantry
Knight-errantry refers to the medieval practice of wandering knights who traveled the land offering protection and justice, often seeking to perform noble deeds or combat injustice. These knights followed a code of chivalry, emphasizing bravery, honor, and service to others, especially the weak and oppressed. The concept also encompasses their quests for glory, reputation, and sometimes personal or spiritual growth, often involving chivalric adventures or battles. While rooted in historical medieval practices, the term is also used more broadly to describe romanticized or idealized notions of heroic, adventurous pursuits.
