Klippel–Feil syndrome
Klippel-Feil syndrome is a condition where some of the neck bones, called vertebrae, are fused together from birth. This fusion can lead to a short neck, limited movement, and a low hairline at the back of the head. It may also be associated with other health issues like hearing loss or spinal problems. The severity varies between individuals, and some may experience few symptoms, while others have more significant restrictions. The cause is often linked to genetic factors, and diagnosis is typically made through physical exam and imaging tests like X-rays.
