Kleinberg's Hubs and Authorities
Kleinberg's Hubs and Authorities is a method to identify important web pages within a network. It assigns two scores: "authorities" for pages containing valuable, relevant information, and "hubs" for pages that link to many authorities. A good hub points to strong authorities, and a good authority is linked by many good hubs. This mutual reinforcement helps rank pages based on their importance and relevance in a web context, improving search results by highlighting the most authoritative sources and the best directories or link aggregators.
