KiwiRAP
KiwiRAP (Road Assessment Program) is a system used in New Zealand to evaluate and improve the safety of roads. Trained inspectors examine roads and identify potential hazards, such as sharp curves, narrow lanes, or poor signage. Based on these assessments, roads are given safety ratings, which help authorities prioritize improvements and inform the public about road risks. The goal of KiwiRAP is to reduce crashes and save lives by making driving conditions safer through consistent, data-driven evaluations and targeted upgrades.
