Kittiwake

The Kittiwake is a species of gull recognizable by its slender body, pale gray wings, and distinctive black markings on its legs and tail. Unlike many gulls, it often nests on cliffs, building compact nests out of grass and seaweed. Kittiwakes primarily feed on small fish, which they catch by flying over the water and sometimes diving briefly. They are social birds, nesting in colonies, and are known for their striking, shrill call. Found in Northern Hemisphere coastlines, especially around northern Atlantic and Pacific regions, they play an important role in oceanic ecosystems.
