
Kirkwood's theory
Kirkwood's theory, often called the Kirkwood-Buff theory, connects microscopic details of molecules in a solution to their macroscopic properties, such as temperature or pressure. It uses statistical mechanics to analyze how molecules are distributed relative to each other, considering their interactions and arrangements.
