Kirk Session

A Kirk Session is a governing body within a Presbyterian church, composed of elected elders who oversee the spiritual and administrative aspects of the congregation. They provide pastoral support, ensure church discipline, and make decisions on church policies and programs. The Session works collaboratively with the minister to nurture the spiritual growth of members and uphold the church’s mission. Essentially, it functions as a leadership council, guiding the church's spiritual life, maintaining order, and representing the congregation's collective interests in church affairs.
