King’s Library

King’s Library was a massive collection of books assembled by King George III of England in the 18th century. Originally housed at the British Museum, it contained about 65,000 volumes, covering a wide range of subjects. The library aimed to gather knowledge and promote learning, making rare and valuable books accessible to scholars. In 1857, it was moved to a specially built building at the British Museum, helping to support research and education. Today, its contents are part of the British Library, serving as a foundation for historical research and cultural preservation.
