Kidney Injury

Kidney injury occurs when the kidneys, which filter waste and excess fluids from your blood, are damaged and can't perform their job properly. This can happen suddenly (acute) or develop gradually over time (chronic). Causes include infections, dehydration, blockages, or reduced blood flow. When the kidneys are injured, waste builds up in the body, and imbalances in fluids and electrolytes can occur, potentially leading to serious health issues if not treated. Prompt diagnosis and management are important to prevent further damage and support recovery.
