Kichwa
Kichwa is an indigenous language spoken by the Kichwa people primarily in Ecuador, and also in parts of Colombia and Peru. It belongs to the Quechuan language family, which is one of the most widespread indigenous language groups of the Andes. Kichwa plays a vital role in maintaining cultural identity, traditions, and oral history. It has its own grammatical structure, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and is recognized as an official language alongside Spanish in Ecuador. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote Kichwa, ensuring its continued use among new generations.
