Khun Sa

Khun Sa was a prominent drug lord and military figure from Myanmar, known for leading a major heroin and methamphetamine trafficking organization in Southeast Asia during the late 20th century. Originally a guerrilla fighter, he transformed into a powerful figure by controlling large drug production areas, making him one of the world's most influential drug traffickers. Despite his criminal activities, he was also involved in local politics and the fight for independence for certain ethnic groups. Khun Sa’s influence waned with international pressure, and he eventually surrendered to Thai authorities in 1996, living the rest of his life in exile in Myanmar until his death in 2007.
