Khe Sanh Combat Base
Khe Sanh Combat Base was a U.S. military outpost in Vietnam, located near the border with Laos, during the Vietnam War. It was built to monitor and disrupt enemy movement along the Ho Chi Minh Trail and to serve as a strategic military position. In 1968, it became the site of a major siege involving intense fighting between U.S. and North Vietnamese forces, lasting nearly three months. The battle was significant for its scale and intensity, symbolizing the broader conflict and the challenges faced by U.S. forces in Vietnam. Today, it is remembered as a symbol of military resilience and strategic importance.
