Khalkha is the largest ethnic group within Mongolia, primarily comprising the majority of the country's population. They speak the Khalkha dialect of the Mongolian language and have a rich cultural heritage rooted in nomadic traditions, horseback riding, and herding livestock. Historically, Khalkha Mongols played a central role in shaping Mongolia’s history and identity. Today, they mainly reside in eastern Mongolia, including the capital, Ulaanbaatar, and maintain practices that blend ancient customs with modern influences.
