KFOR
KFOR, or the Kosovo Force, is a NATO-led international military mission established in 1999 to maintain peace and stability in Kosovo. Its main objectives are to ensure a safe environment, support the return of refugees, and help build local security institutions. KFOR works closely with Kosovo’s authorities and international partners to promote security, monitor ceasefires, and facilitate community rebuilding efforts. Comprising troops from various countries, KFOR operates as a peacekeeping force, helping prevent violence and fostering stability in a region with a complex history.
