KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System)

KERS, or Kinetic Energy Recovery System, is a technology used in motorsport and vehicles to capture and store energy that would otherwise be wasted during braking. When a vehicle slows down, KERS converts the kinetic energy from braking into electrical energy, which can be stored in batteries or supercapacitors. This stored energy can then be used later to boost acceleration, improving performance and efficiency. KERS is particularly beneficial in Formula 1 racing, where it allows cars to gain extra power for short bursts, enhancing speed while reducing fuel consumption.
