Kenyan education
Kenyan education is structured into three main levels: primary, secondary, and tertiary. Primary education lasts eight years, leading to the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam, which qualifies students for secondary school. Secondary education spans four years, culminating in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). Afterward, students can pursue higher education through universities, colleges, or vocational institutes. The system aims to provide broad literacy and skills, though access and quality can vary across regions. The government continuously works to improve infrastructure, curriculum relevance, and inclusivity to ensure equitable educational opportunities for all Kenyan children.
