Kejawen
Kejawen is a traditional spiritual and cultural practice originating from Java, Indonesia. It blends indigenous beliefs, animism, ancestral worship, and Islamic influences, emphasizing harmony with nature, self-awareness, and moral values. Kejawen practitioners seek balance in life through rituals, meditation, and ethical conduct, often guided by a spiritual teacher called a “muhtar.” It is more a philosophical way of understanding life and the universe than a formal religion, allowing individuals to connect with their spiritual roots and inner selves while respecting diverse religious backgrounds.
