Keith's classification

Keith’s classification is a system used to categorize corneal dystrophies—genetic eye conditions affecting the cornea, the clear front part of the eye. It groups these conditions based on where the abnormal deposits or changes occur within the cornea: epithelial (surface layer), stromal (middle layer), or endothelial (inner layer). This classification helps eye doctors diagnose, understand, and manage these dystrophies more effectively by providing a clear framework based on the layer involved, guiding treatment decisions and prognosis.
