Kayapo language

The Kayapo language is an indigenous language spoken by the Kayapo people in the Brazilian Amazon. It belongs to the Macro-Jê language family and features complex verb forms and noun classification systems. The language reflects the rich cultural heritage and social structure of the Kayapo community. Although most speakers are bilingual in Portuguese, efforts are underway to preserve and revitalize the language, which is integral to their identity and traditional knowledge about the rainforest environment.
