Kathodi
Kathodi (or cathode) is the negatively charged electrode in a device like a battery or a tube. It attracts positively charged particles called cations. In devices such as cathode-ray tubes or batteries, the cathode plays a crucial role in the flow of electric current, either by releasing electrons to the external circuit or by accepting electrons during discharge. Its function depends on the device type, but fundamentally, the cathode is where reduction occurs—meaning it gains electrons—facilitating electrical energy transfer or conversion.
