Karo people

The Karo people are an ethnic group from southwestern Ethiopia, primarily residing near the Omo River. They are known for their rich cultural traditions, including intricate body and face painting, distinctive jewelry, and elaborate ceremonies. Agriculture, fishing, and cattle herding are central to their livelihoods. The Karo society values community rituals and displays their identity through unique artistic expressions.
