
Karekin II (Catholicos of All Armenians)
Karekin II is the spiritual leader and head of the Armenian Apostolic Church, serving as Catholicos of All Armenians since 1999. He oversees the religious life, traditions, and theological guidance of the church, which is one of the oldest Christian communities. Based in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in Armenia, Karekin II also advocates for Armenian cultural and national identity, promotes ecumenical dialogue, and supports social and humanitarian causes.
