Karekin I of Armenia

Karekin I of Armenia was the spiritual leader of the Armenian Apostolic Church from 1995 to 1999. As Catholicos, he served as the church’s chief bishop, guiding religious practices, uniting Armenian Christians, and representing the church internationally. His leadership helped rebuild church institutions after Armenia's independence from the Soviet Union and emphasized national identity, cultural heritage, and religious revival.
