Kantian Theory
Kantian theory, developed by Immanuel Kant, is a moral philosophy emphasizing that actions are morally right if they follow universal principles, known as duties, that can be consistently applied by everyone. It stresses acting out of genuine respect for moral law rather than personal gain or consequences. The core idea is the "categorical imperative": act only according to principles you would want to become a universal law. This approach promotes consistent, fair, and autonomous decision-making by focusing on the intent behind actions and the inherent dignity of all individuals.
