Kansas Populist Party

The Kansas Populist Party, also known as the People’s Party, was a political movement in the late 19th century advocating for farmers and working-class Americans. It emerged around 1890, pushing for reforms such as breaking up large monopolies, regulating railroads and banks, and promoting silver coinage to increase currency. The party sought to challenge powerful corporations and improve economic conditions for common people.
