Kanchipuram silk

Kanchipuram silk, also known as Kanjeevaram silk, is a luxurious type of silk fabric from India’s Kanchipuram region. It is renowned for its durability, vibrant colors, and intricate patterns, often featuring traditional motifs like temples, peacocks, and floral designs. Made from high-quality mulberry silk threads and woven with gold or silver zari (metallic threads), these sarees are highly prized for their craftsmanship and elegance. The weaving process involves skilled artisans and can take several days, resulting in a fabric that is both beautiful and durable, commonly worn during special occasions and festivals.
