
Kamehameha III
Kamehameha III, also known as Kauikeaouli, was the king of Hawaii from 1825 to 1854. He is known for modernizing the islands by establishing a written constitution, promoting education, and reducing foreign influence. He helped transition Hawaii from a traditional monarchy to a more structured, constitutional government and worked to preserve Hawaiian sovereignty amidst increasing outside interference.
