Kaguya spacecraft

The Kaguya spacecraft, also known as SELENE, was a Japanese mission launched in 2007 to study the Moon. It consisted of a main orbiter and two smaller satellites, providing detailed data on lunar surface, gravity, and geology. Kaguya's mission helped scientists better understand the Moon's history, composition, and internal structure, offering insights into Earth’s satellite and our solar system's evolution. It operated until 2009, collecting valuable information that improved lunar maps and supported future exploration efforts.
