Kaguya-hime, also known as Princess Kaguya, is a character from a famous Japanese folktale called "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter." She is a mysterious girl found as a baby inside a glowing bamboo stalk. Raised by a bamboo cutter and his wife, Kaguya-hime grows into a breathtaking beauty, attracting many suitors. However, she imposes impossible tasks on them. Eventually, it is revealed that she is from the Moon and must return there, embodying themes of longing, beauty, and the ephemeral nature of life.
