K. W. G. T. D. H. J. M. J. A. K. V. Rosetta mission

The Rosetta mission, led by the European Space Agency, aimed to study comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko up close. Launched in 2004, it traveled over 10 years to reach the comet, deploying a lander called Philae to analyze its surface. Rosetta orbited the comet, studying its composition, structure, and how it changes as it approaches the Sun. The mission provided insights into the building blocks of our solar system and the origins of water on Earth, marking a significant advance in understanding comets and their role in planetary formation.
