K meson
A K meson, also known as a kaon, is a type of subatomic particle composed of a quark and an antiquark. It belongs to the family of particles called mesons, which mediate the strong force that holds atomic nuclei together. Kaons are unstable and decay quickly into lighter particles. They are important in physics because they help scientists understand fundamental symmetries in nature and have played a key role in discovering the phenomenon of CP violation, which contributes to the matter-antimatter imbalance in the universe.
