K. B. Hedgewar was an Indian nationalist leader and the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), an organization dedicated to promoting Indian culture, unity, and Hindu values. Born in 1889, he emphasized social service, cultural pride, and national identity as means to strengthen India. Hedgewar believed in uniting Hindus and restoring India's pre-colonial pride through disciplined community activities and patriotic education. His work laid the foundation for a major socio-political movement in India, influencing the country's cultural and political landscape from the mid-20th century onward.
