A jury is a group of individuals selected from the community to fairly decide the outcome of a legal case, usually in criminal or civil trials. Their role is to listen to evidence, evaluate facts, and apply the law as instructed by the judge. Jurors must remain impartial, base their decision solely on the evidence presented, and uphold the principle of a fair trial. In criminal cases, they determine whether the defendant is guilty or not guilty; in civil cases, they decide which party should prevail and what damages are appropriate.
