Jurchen
The Jurchen were a Tungusic-speaking people from northeastern China, specifically the region that is now Manchuria. In the early 12th century, they founded the Jin dynasty, which controlled a significant portion of northern China, including much of the territory of the Song dynasty. They are known for their military prowess and for establishing a powerful state that rivaled the Song. The Jurchen played a crucial role in Chinese history, influencing culture and politics. Over time, they eventually evolved into the Manchu people, who later established the Qing dynasty, the last imperial dynasty of China.
