The Junta de Gobernadores, or Board of Governors, is a group that oversees the Federal Reserve System, which is the central banking authority of the United States. Comprising 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks and the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., this body makes critical decisions about monetary policy, including setting interest rates and regulating banks. Its role is to promote stable prices, maximum employment, and a healthy economy by guiding financial policies and overseeing the banking system to prevent risks and ensure confidence.
