
Jungfrau Railway
The Jungfrau Railway is a scenic mountain train that transports passengers through the Swiss Alps, connecting the towns of Lauterbrunnen and Kleine Scheidegg to the Jungfrau region, including the famous Jungfraujoch. Built between 1912 and 1913, it is one of the highest railways in Europe, reaching an elevation of 3,454 meters (11,332 feet). The journey offers breathtaking views of glaciers, snow-capped peaks, and alpine landscapes. It also features tunnels and stops at key points, allowing visitors to explore the region’s stunning natural environment and visit attractions like Ice Palace and observation decks at the Jungfraujoch.
