Jun ware
Jun ware is a traditional Chinese porcelain known for its distinctive blue or purple glaze, often decorated with subtle, elegant designs. Originating during the Song and Ming Dynasties, it features a thick, lustrous glaze created through specialized firing techniques, giving the surface a rich, sometimes iridescent appearance. Jun ware was highly prized for its beauty and craftsmanship, often used for both daily use and as art objects. Its unique glaze effects are achieved by adding iron oxide, which reacts during firing to produce the characteristic colors and textures.
