Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act

The Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act, passed in 2012, is a law designed to make it easier for small businesses and startups to raise capital. It loosens some rules on how companies can seek investments from the public, including allowing them to use online platforms to attract smaller investors. The goal is to reduce barriers, encourage entrepreneurship, and create jobs by providing more opportunities for startups to obtain funding from a wider range of investors, while still maintaining some safeguards to protect those investors.
