Jummah
Jummah, or Friday prayer, is a special congregational prayer held by Muslims every Friday around midday. It replaces the regular Dhuhr (noon) prayer and is significant for community gathering and spiritual reflection. During Jummah, a sermon (khutbah) is delivered by the imam, addressing various topics of faith, ethics, and community issues. Participation is important for adult Muslim men, though women and children are also encouraged to attend. Jummah emphasizes the importance of prayer, unity, and seeking knowledge within the Muslim community, reinforcing social ties and collective worship.
