Julian Bell

Julian Bell (1908–1937) was a British painter and art critic, known for being part of the Bloomsbury Group, a circle of influential artists and intellectuals. He was also the nephew of the famous philosopher John Maynard Keynes. Bell was committed to social justice and used his art to express political ideas, supporting leftist causes. Tragically, he died at age 29 during the Spanish Civil War, serving as a volunteer to fight against fascism. His work and activism reflect his dedication to both art and social change.
