The Judgment of Taste, a concept from philosopher David Hume, refers to how we determine whether something is beautiful or aesthetically pleasing. Unlike factual judgments, these are based on personal feelings and subjective experiences, yet they often carry a sense of shared consensus. Hume argued that such judgments rely on a mix of sentiment, cultural influences, and a sense of harmony or expressiveness in the object.
