Judgment Debtor

A judgment debtor is a person or entity that owes money to another party because a court has ruled against them in a legal dispute. This decision, known as a judgment, requires the debtor to pay a specific amount to the creditor. If the debtor fails to pay, the creditor may take further legal action to collect the debt, such as garnishing wages or seizing assets.
