Juan Seguín
Juan Seguín was a 19th-century Texas patriot and leader of Tejano (Mexican Texas) communities. Born in 1806, he played a key role in the Texas Revolution, fighting for independence from Mexico, and helped organize the Texan army at the Battle of San Jacinto. Seguín was known for advocating for the rights of Mexican Texans and working toward unity between Anglo and Tejano populations. After Texas gained independence, he faced political tensions and eventually left Texas for exile in Mexico.
