Juan de Salcedo was a Spanish conquistador and explorer in the 16th century, renowned for his role in expanding Spanish influence in the Philippines. As a relative of the famous conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, he led expeditions that helped establish Spanish settlements, notably in parts of Luzon and Mindoro.
