JOTA (Jamboree on the Air)

JOTA (Jamboree on the Air) is an annual worldwide event that connects Scouts and Guides through amateur radio communications. Participants use ham radios to exchange messages, learn about radio technology, and make new friends across different countries and cultures. Organized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), JOTA promotes communication skills, global understanding, and interest in science and technology among youth. It provides a unique opportunity for young people to experience real-time international contact, fostering teamwork, confidence, and cultural appreciation in a safe, supervised environment.
