Joshua Nkomo

Joshua Nkomo was a prominent Zimbabwean political leader and independence activist. He co-founded the Zimbabwe African People's Union (ZAPU) and played a key role in fighting for Zimbabwe’s independence from British colonial rule. Known for his leadership and advocacy for minority rights, especially for Zimbabwe’s Ndebele people, Nkomo worked alongside leaders like Robert Mugabe. Throughout his career, he navigated complex political landscapes, sometimes facing conflicts within Zimbabwe’s independence movement.
