Joseph Smith (Agent)
Joseph Smith was the founder of the Latter Day Saint movement, commonly known as Mormonism. Born in 1805 in Vermont, he claimed to have experienced a series of divine visions, including one in which he translated the Book of Mormon, a sacred text for Mormons. Smith established the Church of Christ in 1830, which later became the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He emphasized themes of revelation, community, and faith. Smith's life was marked by controversy and persecution, and he was ultimately killed by a mob in Illinois in 1844, leaving a lasting impact on American religious history.
