Joseph Luft (Johari Window)
Joseph Luft co-developed the Johari Window, a tool to improve self-awareness and understanding in relationships. It divides what you know and don’t know about yourself and others into four areas: (1) Open (known to self and others), (2) Hidden (known to you but hidden from others), (3) Blind (unknown to you but seen by others), and (4) Unknown (unknown to both). By sharing and seeking feedback, individuals can expand their Open area, fostering better communication, trust, and personal growth. The model encourages openness and self-discovery to enhance relationships and improve teamwork.
