Joseph Kony is a Ugandan guerrilla leader known for founding the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), a group infamous for abducting children to serve as soldiers and sex slaves during the Ugandan civil conflict. He gained international notoriety in the early 2010s, especially with the viral campaign "Kony 2012," aimed at raising awareness and bringing him to justice. Kony’s rebel group has been responsible for widespread violence, atrocities, and human rights abuses in Uganda and neighboring countries.
