
José López Rega
José López Rega was an Argentine politician and the personal secretary to President Juan Perón, later serving as his Minister of Social Welfare. He is best known for founding the paramilitary group Triple A (Argentine Anticommunist Alliance), which carried out violent political repression during the 1970s. Rega's influence contributed to a period of political instability, violence, and human rights abuses in Argentina. His involvement in clandestine activities and authoritarian tactics made him a controversial figure, ultimately leading to his downfall and exile.
